Privacy notice
This notice explains how we process personal data when you visit leonic.no, send us an enquiry, book a meeting or write in the chat.
Data controller
Leonic AS, organisation no. 935 785 863, Karihaugveien 89, 1086 Oslo, is responsible for the processing. You can reach us through the contact form, by telephone on +47 919 20 839, or by post at the address above.
When you send an enquiry
When you register your interest or submit the contact form, we receive your name, email address, telephone number if you provide it, the subject you select, the business information you enter in the form, your message and the address of the page you sent it from. If you arrive from a product page, the product name appears in the subject.
We use this information to reply to you and consider a potential business relationship. The legal bases are that you have asked us to contact you, and our legitimate interest in following up enquiries about Leonic (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) of the General Data Protection Regulation). Your enquiry is stored in our customer service system, which is Leonic itself.
When you book a meeting
For meeting bookings, we receive your name, email address, optional telephone number, business name, business type, preferred time and the information you provide about your needs and preparations. We use this information to arrange and prepare the meeting, send a calendar invitation and follow up the request. In the booking form, you consent to this use and to a Google Calendar invitation (Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation). Meetings take place on Google Meet. You may withdraw consent by contacting us.
When you use the chat
When you write in the chat, we receive your messages, your name and email address if you provide them, and the page you wrote from. Your browser stores a random visitor ID and chat settings locally (localStorage), so that the conversation continues when you change pages. Chat replies may be suggested by an AI assistant. The legal bases are the same as for enquiries.
Cookies and analytics
You choose whether we may use Google Analytics 4 to understand how leonic.no is used. Analytics starts only when you select “Accept analytics” in the banner. If you select “Necessary only”, no analytics events are sent to Google Analytics.
With your consent, we measure page views, visit duration, referral source, technical information about your browser and device, approximate geographic area and whether an enquiry has been submitted. Names, email addresses, telephone numbers and the contents of the contact form are not sent as analytics parameters. We do not use this setup for advertising or remarketing. Google Signals and advertising personalisation are disabled for analytics.
Google Analytics uses the cookies _ga and _ga_ZHE2SY2WYY to distinguish visits and sessions. They normally last for up to two years, which may be renewed on a visit. Your consent choice is stored locally in your browser. You can withdraw or change your choice at any time using “Cookies” at the bottom of the page. This stops further analytics; previously collected information is not deleted automatically. Necessary storage for the website and chat continues to be used.
Google Tag Manager is used to manage the analytics setup and loads when the page opens. Google Analytics is activated only after consent. Read Google’s privacy policy.
Language preference
When you choose a website language, your choice is stored in the px_language cookie for up to one year. It remembers your selected language. You can change your choice using the language selector or delete the cookie in your browser.
Who receives the information
We do not sell personal data or share it with others for marketing. Suppliers that operate the solution process information on our behalf: Railway (website hosting), Neon (database), Cloudflare (network and file storage), Resend (email delivery), Sentry (error monitoring), Anthropic (the AI assistant in the chat) and Google (Calendar, Meet, Tag Manager and consent-based website analytics). Some of them may process information outside the EEA. Contact us if you would like to know which transfer mechanism applies.
Data storage and security
Primary data and backups are stored in the EU/EEA. This describes storage within Leonic; external services may have their own processing locations as described above. Read about security, data storage and the three layers of database backup, and GDPR and privacy in Leonic.
How long we retain information
We retain enquiries, meeting requests and chat conversations for as long as we need them to follow up the matter or a business relationship. If you ask us to delete them, we do so unless we are legally required to retain them.
In Google Analytics, retention is set to two months for event data and 14 months for user data. The retention period for user data is renewed with new activity. Aggregated standard reports may be retained for longer.
Your rights
You can request access to the information we hold about you and ask for it to be corrected, deleted or restricted. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and ask to receive your data. Send us an enquiry and we will reply within one month.
If you believe that we are processing information in breach of the rules, you can lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).
Changes
We update this notice when we change how we process information. Last updated 20 October 2026.
Saved size measurements
If you choose Remember my measurements, we store your height, weight and fit preferences with your consent to provide size advice. On an account, they remain until you delete them. For guests, they are stored only in this browser for up to one year and may be visible to others using it. You can update or delete the measurements in the size advisor or, for account measurements, on your account page. They are not used for advertising.
When the shop uses fit reporting, the recommended and selected size are attached to your purchase and compared with returns and fit reviews. Your height and weight are not stored on the order.
